Symptoms of gallstone disease that are rarely noticed

Gallstones or gallstones are hardened deposits of digestive juices that can form in the gallbladder. Gallstones are small stones that come from cholesterol and form in the human bile ducts. Gallstones are thought to be formed due to the accumulation and hardening of cholesterol accumulated in bile. This occurs due to an imbalance between the amount of cholesterol and chemical compounds in the fluid.

People who experience symptoms of gallstone disease sometimes do not realize that they have the disease. Because some of the symptoms are mostly considered trivial by some people. However, gallstone disease can be a dangerous disease and cause complications if it is not immediately treated by doctors and medical personnel.

Symptoms of gallstones that are rarely noticed:

Back pain and upper right abdomen

Severe pain that is felt in the back and right upper abdomen is most often experienced. Symptoms of gallstone pain usually appear suddenly, regardless of time and can last for 1-2 hours, even if they are severe, they can last for days.

    Diarrhea

The most common symptom of gallstones is chronic diarrhea. Defecation with a watery texture that occurs 4 times a day or more.

    Nausea and vomiting

This symptom is the most common symptom that is often found. These symptoms are due to part of the body's response to the intense pain that is felt

Yellowing of the skin and eyeballs

Changes in skin color and yellow eyeballs are also symptoms of gallstones to watch out for. You can get jaundice if gallstones move out of the gallbladder and settle in the bile duct, blocking the flow of bile. This condition can then cause bilirubin

    Dark urine color

Apart from settling and causing a yellow color in the eyes and skin, bilirubin in the blood will also be excreted through the kidneys and cause dark urine color, namely brown or dark red.

    Pale stools

Stool color that leads to a pale color is also a symptom of gallstones. Normal stool color is brown. Stool color changes to a pale color in people with gallstones because gallstones block the flow of bile which gives color to the stool.

If you feel any of the symptoms of gallstones above, consult immediately and see a doctor, especially if the pain that appears does not subside and is accompanied by other symptoms that begin to appear, namely high fever.
