Healthy People
All TB germs are destroyed by our body's defense system
People with Latent TB Infection
TB germs are in our bodies, but are "fenced off" by the body's defense system, so they don't cause TB symptoms
TB Sick People
The body's defense system is unable to fight the TB germs, causing TB symptoms
