High and uncontrolled cholesterol can cause several of these diseases

The human body does need cholesterol to continue building healthy cells for the body. However, on the other hand, cholesterol levels that are too high and uncontrolled can cause various dangerous diseases, one of which is heart disease. Cholesterol is a substance produced naturally by fat metabolism in the body which functions to build tissue and cells, form various hormones and plays a role in the digestive system. Cholesterol cannot dissolve in the blood so it combines with protein and forms lipoproteins. There are two types of lipoproteins that you need to know, including low-density lipoprotein (LDL) which is usually called "bad" cholesterol and high density lipoprotein (HDL) which is usually called "good" cholesterol. High cholesterol levels are a trigger for fat deposits in blood vessels. Therefore, this accumulation makes it difficult for blood to flow to the arteries. Unhealthy lifestyles, obesity and lack of physical activity contribute to high cholesterol levels. There are several dangerous diseases that can occur due to high cholesterol levels, including:

    Coronary Heart Disease

The main risk associated with high cholesterol levels is coronary heart disease. If blood cholesterol levels are too high, fat will accumulate on the walls of the arteries. This condition causes the arteries to narrow and inhibits blood flow to the heart. As a result, someone who has high and uncontrolled cholesterol levels will be more susceptible to chest pain and even heart attacks

    Hypertension

High blood pressure (hypertension) and high cholesterol are interconnected. When the arteries harden and narrow due to cholesterol and calcium plaque, the heart has to work harder to pump blood. As a result, blood pressure becomes high and abnormal.

    Strokes

Stroke occurs when the blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients to the brain are blocked or ruptured.

    Gallstones

Gallstones are thought to form due to the buildup and hardening of cholesterol accumulated in bile fluid. This occurs due to an imbalance between the amount of cholesterol and chemical compounds in the fluid.

It is important for us to know and control cholesterol levels because it can have an impact on several diseases that are dangerous to health. Regularly carry out health checks and consult a doctor to protect yourself and your family from the threat of disease. Healthy greetings
