Types of Styes

- Internal Stye
Internal stye is a small bump that occurs inside the eyelid. Most appear in the oil glands in the eyelid tissue. This type of stye will usually appear on the upper eyelid. The lump leads to the inside so that the eyelids need to be opened to see the lump more clearly. This stye puts pressure on the eye making the area around the eye feel more painful than the external type.
