Watch out for epilepsy for the first time in your life !

Epilepsy, according to the ILAE, is an unprovoked outbreak of seizures, or a double outbreak without a seizure.  In other words, epilepsy is defined as a disorder or interruption of brain function periodically and suddenly. Conditions when a person has a seizure: 1.There is severe hypoxia (a condition in which oxygen levels in body tissues decrease) 2.There has been a sodium deficiency 3.There was a fever

Epilepsy is a chronic disease that can interfere with the quality of life that affects daily activities. When a person is under the age of 6 years early starts to have seizures due to fever b.When a person in the vulnerable young adult age (30 -40 years) suddenly appears seizure can occur there is a tumor in the head c.If someone in the elderly age (Geriatri) has just started to develop seizurs due to poor intake (not good fluid consumption), so causes the level of electrolytes in the blood to fall, can trigger the onset of convulsions.

d.Inflammation or infection, such as meningitis or inflammation of the brain

A neurosurgeon will review the early onset of a seizure so that the cause of the seizures that trigger epilepsy can be identified.

There is one before a seizure by lightning flashes. There is another before the seizures due to digestive disorders, such as nausea.

Treatment of epilepsy: a. Treat an epileptic person in a safe place b. Do not put any foreign object into the mouth of an epileptic c. Loosen clothes and count the duration of seizures.

Medical examination by a doctor with: 1.Routine consultation to a neurosurgeon for the administration of medication supervised by a physician 2.Provide a health examination with EEG (Electro Encephalography). EEG examination to confirm the diagnosis of epilepsy. 3.EEG video recording, stimulated in a patient who is experiencing an attack can improve the accuracy of diagnosis and location of the source of the attack. 4.Radiological examination, aimed at seeing the structure of the brain and supplement EEG data. Radiological examinations can be CT Scan / MRI.
