PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk Holds Annual GMS, Book Year 2023

Jakarta, Monday, 13th May, 2024 - PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk (Hermina) holds Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) to report the Company’s performance in 2023. Meetings are held online and offline (hybrid) and attended by members of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of the Company PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk on Monday, 13th May, 2024.

With the end of the pandemic status in June 2023 by the government, and the normalization of activities in the healthcare sector, the Company reported a 19,49% increase in patient volume, an increase of more than 8,5 million (2023) from 7,1 million in the year 2022.

“Throughout 2023, we have conducted a thorough review and refinement of Hermina Hospital services, and presented new flagship centers, focusing on oncology, heart care, stroke, nephrology and orthopedia health services. In addition, emergency services, intensive services and emergency surgical services have also been further enhanced amid increasingly competitive environment.” Said dr. Hasmoro as President Director of PT Medikaloka Hermina Tbk.

The Company closed the year 2023 with a net income of Rp5,78 trillion. This total net income remains higher than the previous year’s net income of Rp4,90 trillion (2022), or grew 18%. Total EBITDA earned by the Company amounted to Rp1,59 trillion (2023) higher than the year 2022 which amounted to Rp1,14 trillion. Net income was recorded at Rp559 billion higher than 2022 which amounted to Rp379 billion or grew 47%. As a result, the net income Attributable to Owners of the Parent Entity reached Rp437 billion for the book year 2023 and a part of the net income distributed as cash dividends to the Company's shareholders in the amount of Rp8,5 per share higher than the cash dividend in the year 2022 in the amount of Rp7 per share.  

In addition, in the year 2023 the total number of patients grew to 8,5 Million from 7,1 Million patients in the previous year. The number of inpatients increased to 613 thousand from as many as 484 thousand patients, or grew 26,65%, while the number of outpatient visits rose 18,97% from 6,63 million patients to 7,89 million in the previous year. The network expansion also continues, with the inauguration of the 46th and 47th Hermina hospitals in Ciawi, Bogor district, West Java province and Aceh Besar district, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province.

Entering the year 2024, Hermina's positive performance in the year 2023 builds our trust for growth sustainability so that we can offer qualified healthcare services to the people of Indonesia. The hospital's success in integrating the e-Medical Record system can improve hospital operation efficiency as well as access to faster patient health records.

HR development remains a top priority, not only to improve our employees’ competence but also caring and aware to the needs of patients. At the same time, Hermina's hospital network continues to grow by establishing four new hospitals (Pasuruan, Madiun, Nusantara (IKN) and PIK 2) and the acquisition of RSIA Medika Rumbai which are expected to strengthen the Company’s commitment in providing access to quality health services in various regions of the Archipelago.
