The eye is a sensory organ that responds to light and sends visual information signals to the brain. The eye is one of the senses with an important function for living things to see. 1. Smoking

Smoking can increase the risk of cataract disease in the eye and reduce eye health, blurring the eyes that makes it difficult to see and macular degeneration. Other eye risks caused by smoking include dry eye syndrome, lazy eye, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, optic nerve damage, and diabetic retinopathy.
 

2. Rubbing the eye

When a foreign object enters the eye, a person will reflexively rub their eyes immediately. While it is better, rubbing the eyes hard can cause distortions and scratches on the cornea, which can damage eye health. The cornea is very sensitive and easily scratched if rubbed hard. Therefore, we should avoid and abandon the habit of rubbing our eyes.
 

3. Too long playing gadgets / staring at the gadget screen

Staring at gadget screens for long periods of time often makes many people feel uncomfortable. This is known as digital eye strain. Using smartphones and other gadgets for a long time can expose a person to blue light on the screen.

This can cause eye fatigue and headaches, because when looking at the screen, the eye muscles will work extra hard. Because someone who often reads books, looks at the monitor screen or watches at too close a distance is more prone to nearsightedness (myopia). so this condition can worsen the minus eye condition.
 

4. Rarely eat vegetables and fruits

Eating vegetables and fruits can improve eye health. Vegetables contain antioxidants and vitamins that have a protective effect on the retina of the eye. Fruits also contain many nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, and others that can improve and maintain eye health.
 

5. Improper use of cosmetics

Improper use of cosmetics such as eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, and eye cream can interfere with eye health and also damage the eyes. For example, using them too close to the eyelashes can block the oil glands, causing itching and infection.

And if the product used has expired, it will cause a worse impact because it can cause eye irritation, eye dryness, and other eye conditions.
