Free Medical Check Up for the Community at the Surabaya Hospital Expo 2023
Increased public awareness of the importance of health is increasingly visible after the easing of COVID-19. This was evidenced by the enthusiasm of the visiting community which reached approximately 3,000 people at the Surabaya Hospital Expo 2023 which was held from 24 to 26 May at the Grand City Convex Surabaya. There are various medical device companies, ambulance provider companies and many hospitals that are displaying their newest facilities at medical device exhibitions which have been held regularly since 2005. This exhibition is the second exhibition to be held offline after the pandemic.
Ubaya Hospital was also not left behind to participate in the exhibition of laboratory equipment and medicines for the largest hospital medical pharmacy clinic in East Java. Ubaya Hospital provides medical check-up services in the form of blood pressure and sugar checks to make it easier for visitors to find out their health status so they can take prevention as early as possible. Apart from medical check-ups, Ubaya Hospital also provides Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) therapy services. TENS therapy utilizes the use of electrical energy to stimulate the nervous system through the surface of the skin to treat pain due to various conditions. To do this therapy does not require a long time, this therapy only takes about 10-15 minutes with a good frequency of therapy, namely once a day or twice a day.
In addition to TENS therapy, Ubaya Hospital also opens blood pressure checks whose aim is to reduce the risk of stroke, heart disease, kidney failure and all diseases that may arise due to high blood pressure as well as blood sugar checks to evaluate the overall achievement of treatment goals. All health checks are free of charge.
The existence of the Surabaya Hospital Expo shows that technology in the health sector has developed rapidly where this development is very helpful to all parties from the health sector as well as people who need medical and health assistance.
