JP, FIHA menamatkan pendidikan Kedokteran Umum di FK USU pada tahun 1994 Pada tahun 2002 beliau menempuh pendidikan Spesialis Jantung dan Pembuluh Darah di FK Unair dan lulus pada tahun 2007.
