MAKANAN YANG PERLU DI BATASI SAAT BERBUKA PUASA

Hermina's friends, before breaking the fast, usually Muslims have prepared a number of foods. When breaking the fast, usually the food eaten is sweet and fresh. However, there are actually a number of foods that Hermina's friends should avoid when breaking the fast. What foods should be avoided for breaking the fast? Foods that need to be limited when breaking the fast:

Fried foods: fried foods such as bakwan, tempeh mendoan, risol, cireng and so on which are high in calories and unhealthy fats will increase the risk of obesity and high cholesterol if used as takjil every day throughout the month of Ramadan.

Sweet foods: kolak, sumsum porridge, pearl porridge, green banana ice or modern fruit salad contain a lot of added sugar which can increase blood sugar levels suddenly so that it can be dangerous for health, especially for people who have diabetes or whose sugar tolerance is disturbed.

Large portion foods: during dozens of hours of fasting, bowel movements slow down so that if you immediately eat large portions when breaking the fast it can cause nausea, bloating or diarrhea. In addition, the amount of food consumed becomes less controlled, increasing the risk of obesity. Drinks that can cause gas: soda, packaged drinks and milk can cause discomfort in the stomach in the form of bloating or gas.
Sweet drinks: in addition to causing blood sugar fluctuations, sweet drinks such as es teler, es campur, es buah with syrup, packaged tea, or boba are also brain rewards, increasing the desire to continue consuming them even after the month of Ramadan has passed. Sweet drinks in the long term can also cause an imbalance of microbiota (good bacteria) in the intestines and other health risks.

So for hermina friends to continue to pay attention to the types of food and drinks consumed. Prioritize quality over quantity. Quality food will make you full longer and more energetic than eating unhealthy foods in large quantities.
